Grief and Loss
Have you recently experienced the death of a loved one? Perhaps you’ve recently divorced or experienced a breakup. Whatever the case may be, losing someone that you love isn’t easy. Grief brings on a variety of emotions such as; sadness, depression, anxiety, stress, guilt, shame, anger, and loneliness. Although grief is a natural response to any form of loss, it doesn’t make it easy. You may be feeling isolated and all alone because family members and friends don’t understand the grief process. Some people may expect you to just get over it and move on but you know processing grief isn’t that easy. You don’t just get over it after the funeral or after the breakup. It’s a process. At one moment you may feel anger, and at other moments you may have a crying spell. Some days you may feel like you’re going to be just fine, and on others, you may feel like you’ll never get through this. This is all a part of the process.
